Narraid is a mobile learning platform that helps frontline retail and hospitality teams stay knowledgeable through short, audio-first training episodes. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights users have.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data collected through:

  • the Narraid mobile app
  • Narraid websites and public pages
  • customer support and other communications
  • business relationships with retailers, employers, and brand partners connected to the platform

Narraid is generally made available to users in coordination with their employer, retailer, or another business partner.

We only collect the data needed to operate, improve, and secure Narraid.

This may include:

Account information

  • (work) email address or username
  • password or login credentials
  • preferred language
  • employer, retailer, store, region, role, or department
  • account status and access permissions

Learning and usage data

  • episodes assigned to you
  • episodes started, completed, replayed, or downloaded for offline use
  • quiz participation and quiz scores
  • progress and completion status
  • notification and engagement activity within the app

Device and technical data

  • device type
  • operating system
  • app version
  • IP address
  • language settings
  • crash logs and diagnostics
  • technical identifiers needed to run and secure the service

Communication data

  • messages you send us
  • support requests
  • feedback you provide

Data received from business customers

If your employer or retailer gives you access to Narraid, we may receive information such as your name, work contact details, role, store, location, or user assignment details.

We use personal data to:

  • create and manage user accounts
  • provide access to Narraid content
  • support audio playback, offline listening, quizzes, and progress tracking
  • personalise content by language, role, employer, store, or region
  • send service-related messages and notifications
  • respond to support requests
  • improve app performance, stability, and user experience
  • protect Narraid against misuse, unauthorised access, and security incidents
  • provide authorised reporting and dashboards to relevant business customers
  • comply with legal and regulatory obligations

We do not sell personal data.

  1. Why we are allowed to use it

Where applicable under data protection law, we process personal data because:

  • it is necessary to provide Narraid and operate the service;
  • it is necessary for our legitimate interests, such as improving, securing, and supporting the platform;
  • it is necessary to comply with legal obligations; or
  • you have given consent, where consent is required.

If Narraid is provided through your employer or retailer, that organisation may also process your data under its own privacy responsibilities.

We do this only where relevant to the service and the customer relationship.

  • authentication

  • push notifications

  • email delivery
  • infrastructure and storage

These providers may only process personal data on our behalf and under appropriate safeguards.

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to operate Narraid, support our customers, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect our legal rights.

  • learning and engagement data may be kept during the customer relationship and for a limited period after that for reporting, audit, and compliance purposes;
  • support requests and technical logs are kept only as long as needed for support, security, and service improvement.

  • correct inaccurate data
  • request deletion of your data
  • restrict certain processing
  • object to certain processing

If you visit a Narraid website, we may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for site functionality, security, analytics, or performance.

Where required by law, we will ask for consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

Narraid is intended for workplace and business use and is not designed for children.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

No system is completely risk-free, but we work continuously to keep Narraid secure and reliable.

If you download or access Narraid through third-party platforms such as the Apple App Store or Google Play, those platforms may process personal data under their own terms and privacy notices.
